Your information, explained clearly.
This policy explains how Mr 6Points collects and uses information when parents, guardians and learners use our website, family accounts, courses, revision PDFs, subscriptions and consultations.
We use information to provide learning access, protect accounts, process payments, support families and improve the platform. We do not sell personal information.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Mr 6Points, we may collect:
- account details such as name, email address, phone number, password record and selected account role;
- learner profile details such as grade, subjects, parent or guardian link and learning preferences;
- learning activity such as enrolled subjects, lesson and quiz progress, answers, scores and completion history;
- purchase records such as orders, subscriptions, PDF entitlements, payment status and transaction references;
- consultation requests and messages sent to support; and
- technical information such as device type, browser, IP address, security logs, cookies and website usage.
Parents, guardians and learners
Our family-account model allows a parent or guardian to manage purchases and supervise linked learner accounts. A linked learner sees learning resources and their own progress, but should not see a parent’s full payment-card details.
Where a learner is a child, the parent or legal guardian is responsible for creating or approving the learner profile and consenting to the appropriate processing of the child’s information. We ask families not to enter unnecessary sensitive information.
How and why we use information
We process information to create and secure accounts; deliver courses and purchased PDFs; record progress; manage family relationships; process and verify payments; administer subscriptions and cancellations; send service and expiry reminders; respond to support or consultation requests; prevent misuse and fraud; maintain records; and improve accessibility and performance.
Where required, we rely on consent, performance of our agreement with you, compliance with legal obligations, or legitimate operational and security interests.
Payments and service providers
Payments are handled through the payment providers made available at checkout. Mr 6Points receives transaction status and references but should not receive or store a complete card number, PIN, CVV or mobile-money PIN.
We may use carefully selected providers for hosting, payments, email, analytics, security, backups and customer support. They may process only the information needed to provide their service and are subject to their own privacy and security obligations.
Cookies and communications
Essential cookies keep sessions, carts, sign-in and security features working. Optional analytics or marketing technologies should be used only where permitted and, when required, after consent. You can control cookies through your browser, although disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the platform from working.
We may send account, purchase, security and subscription-expiry messages. Promotional messages will include a reasonable way to opt out.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for learning access, support, security, accounting, dispute resolution and applicable legal obligations. Account deletion removes or anonymises eligible information, but transaction and security records may be retained where the law or a legitimate record-keeping need requires it.
We use access controls, role separation, secure connections, updates, backups and monitoring. No online service can promise absolute security, so parents and learners should use unique passwords and keep sign-in details private.
Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to be informed about processing, access your information, correct inaccurate information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where consent is the basis, request eligible deletion, or complain about how information is handled.
Parents or guardians may make appropriate requests for a linked child. We may need to verify identity and family authority before acting. The Zambia Data Protection Act, 2021 provides rights and safeguards for personal data, including special protection for children’s information.
